Description
Esthetic Restorative Dentistry is the restoration of teeth that are damaged by dental caries (tooth decay) and trauma by utilizing materials that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. Who wants a gray filling?
Microdentistry is the elimination and restoration of small areas of dental caries that in the past would have been overlooked and not treated. Would you rather have a small filling or a large one?
Preventive Dentistry includes treatments that we can provide to help decrease the amount of future tooth decay and gum disease. Who wants a few extra cavities or gum surgery?
Non-Surgical Periodontics is the diagnosis and treatment of the gum diseases, gingivitis and periodontitis, by non-surgical means. Gum disease is now proven to increase a person's likelihood of developing certain systemic diseases, such as coronary artery disease and diabetes!

Patient Comfort and Education
Patient Comfort is a primary concern. In addition to the availability of radio headphones and nitrous oxide, Dr. Kerr always administers local anesthetic with The Wand. "This is one of my favorite dental innovations of all time! The tiny needle and super-slow flow rate of the anesthetic makes the Wand the most patient friendly injection system available."
Patient Education The CAESY patient education system utilizes short video presentations to educate our patients on the causes and treatments of all oral conditions.
Financial and Insurance Issues
We always provide our patients with a written treatment plan, including all anticipated fees and an estimate of insurance coverage. We will gladly file insurance claims and have the reimbursement sent to our office; but patients are responsible at the time of service for payment of deductible, co-pays and non-covered expenses. Patients who have insurance benefits are very fortunate. However, insurance benefits have not kept up with inflation over the past 30 years; and unless you have minimal treatment needs, you should anticipate having some out-of-pocket costs. Dr. Kerr does not participate in any PPO/HMO plans. Patients with a PPO policy typically will receive benefits if treated in our office, but at a lesser rate. "I have no interest in participating in any of the PPO/HMO plans. In order to maintain the level of service that we provide with our staff, equipment, materials and time, I simply cannot go that route
